Angelica is an impressive architectural herb. It is best known for its decorative use on cakes. Young leaves can be used in salads.
Medicinally used for digestive problems, gastric ulcers, circulation, migraine, catarrh, flu.
- Hardy biennial
- Height 1-2.5m
- Umbels of flowers with round greenish white flower clusters and large deeply divided leaves. June/July flowering. Seeds freely.
- Partial to full shade at back of boarder
- Reliably moist soil
- Remove spent flowers to prevent die back and encourage second year flowering
