Delivery

We are committed to safe delivery and sustainability

Our packaging materials have been carefully researched and selected with sustainability at the forefront of our packaging process. Even after the bumpiest of journeys and the harshest of climates, our plants will be delivered safely to your door as fresh as when they were picked from our nursery.

HOW WILL MY ORDER BE PACKAGED?

For plants arriving nursery fresh to your door.

Inside the box

RECYCLABLE CARDBOARD

We use recyclable cardboard throughout our packaging, this includes:

  • The outer box
  • Spacers for keeping your plants tightly packed and secure
  • Corrugated wrapping that offers a breathable environment for your plants as well as both strength and protection for the roots and foliage

BIO-DEGRADABLE BAGS

During our packaging process we use bio-degradable bags to wrap the plant pot. This helps prevent soil from being lost during transit and helps retain moisture stopping the plants roots from drying out on warmer days.

HOW WILL MY ORDER BE SHIPPED?

Quickly, safely and hassle-free.

NEW Labels in 2022

THE POTS

Our stylish grey pots that our 9cm herb plants are grown and supplied to our customers in are 100% reusable & recyclable. This means you can use them for seasons to come growing your own plants and then recycle them when you decide its time for them to have a new life.

THE LABELS

Our NEW plant labels in 2022 are also recyclable and are designated with the PET logo. They also provide lots of useful information about the plant – no more contradictory Google searches, learn directly from the master growers at Kitchen Garden.

WHAT ABOUT THE COMPOST?

We are committed to being a sustainable nursery and the compost we use makes a difference.

PEAT-FREE

We grow and supply all our plants in a special mix, of locally made, peat-free compost. This helps protect our peatlands, helping combat climate change. Peat bogs store carbon, control flooding and create homes for wildlife. Destroying them causes damage to our already sensitive habitats and climate.

PESTICIDE-FREE

In addition, we are a pesticide-free nursery. This means our plants are healthier, taste better and last longer when picked from.

I have purchased herbs from Kitchen Garden Plant centre and the quality of the plants are unparalleled. Such a fantastic selection to choose from and all grown on their family nursery from scratch. Packaging is great and the advice and guidance offered by this knowledgable team is simply the best. 10/10 would recommend and would only by my plants from this lovely team.

I have just received my order and felt I wanted to compliment you on the quality of the plants and the way they were packaged; much better than your competitors.

These lovely folk had the unusual rosemary we had been searching for in lovely growth and good price. Feel more than confident to mail order from them in future too. Also, their Rau Ram (vietnamese coriander) has lovely subtle flavour that we'd never tried before . Thanks

Brilliant selection of herbs, and truly exceptional customer service. Glowing recommendation for anyone looking to level up their cooking, have their kitchen smell fantastic, or get a unique gift for the green-thumbed chef in their life.
