Artemisia dracunculus 'Tolgeron'
French Tarragon 'Tolergon'
Tolergon out performs its counterpart French Tarragon with tolerance to cold conditions of -5 to -10 degrees Celsius. Â It retains its prized tarragon flavour (not to be confused with Russian tarragon which in our opinion tastes grassy). Â Like its relative this hardy French Tarragon is a clump forming perennial, with lance mid-green leaves. Preferring well drained poor soil in full sun or in this case part shade too. Â It is drought and heat tolerant. Â It will emerge earlier in the Spring too. Â
A must have if you enjoy tarragon. Â 'Tolergon' is still ideal for chicken and egg dishes, sauces, salad dressings. Â Also known as Estragon.
