Lovage
Lovage is a must for the garden. Plant in good quality moist soil in sunny position. Use young leaves in soups, stews, Italian dishes. Flavour can be likened to celery and aniseed. Seeds can be used in Indian dishes and for adding flavour to brandy and the root used as a vegetable.

- Small greenish yellow flowers in summer. Clump forming stems with aromatic leaves.

- Rich moist well drained soil
- Cut back dead leaves in autumn. Divide in spring or autumn.
