Watercress
Watercress adds great flavour to a salad. It is highly nutritious and is rich in antioxidants. You can even make a delicious Watercress soup or just sauté it. Cut young and enjoy the flavour of the stems too. Grow in sun/part shade in moist boggy soil, although this is not essential.

- Sun/ partly shaded position
- Moist/ boggy/ poorly drained soil is preferred, but not essential.
- Note: if harvesting from a pond/fresh water environment near animal grazing areas, it is advised to wash and cook Watercress and other water plants,.
- Watercress grows well in pots with moist compost, so submerging in water is not essential. Grow in a damp spot or on a windowsill.
