Chives have edible, cylindrical, hollow green leaves and pinkish purple edible flowers. The bulbs will multiply quite quickly to form large clumps, which should be divided every 3 to 4 years. Both the stems and flowers of Chives can be used to add onion flavour to salads, soups and more.Â
