Artemisia dracunculus 'Tolgeron'
French Tarragon 'Tolergon'
'Tolergon' out performs its counterpart French Tarragon with tolerance to cold conditions of -5 to -10 degrees Celsius. It retains its prized French Tarragon flavour (slightly milder, but not to be confused with Russian tarragon which in our opinion tastes grassy). Like its relative this hardy, culinary variety is a clump forming perennial, with lance mid-green leaves. Preferring well drained poor soil in full sun or in this case part shade too. It is drought and heat tolerant. It will emerge earlier in the Spring too.
A must have if you enjoy tarragon.'Tolergon' is still ideal for chicken and egg dishes, sauces, salad dressings. Also known as Estragon.
