Garlic Cress is a hardy perennial and has a fabulous garlicky mustard flavour, which is fantastic in salads. Its leaves are green with a purple hue and in May- July white flowers are produced, at which point leaf production will be reduced. Cut the flowers to encourage new leaf growth and use the flowers in a salad. Garlic Cress suits a wide range of situations growing well in the sun as in the shade. The plant can be cut back hard and will reproduce. The leaves will be available even in the winter making this a truly wonderful addition to the edible garden.
